Wedding Film and Photo

A wedding Creative Company that creates thoughtful and soulful perspectives of people’s weddings through film, photography, and design. As a new and upcoming wedding company, the goal for them was to create an identity that would reflect their core values. Weddings are about more than just two people, but having an understanding of their family, relationships, history and generations to reveal a truthful perspective.

1st Website prototype

One of the first items to tackle was to redo the website and include new work. A few phrases the site was to address were: quiet but forceful, subtle but expressive and nostalgic. They wanted to be a part of the experience as much as the clients and use photo and video to tell their stories with more expression and opinion.

Colour Palette & Round 2

After the first round of the website, we discovered it could be more bold and there was a disconnect from translating it from web to mobile. The elements were all there, but something was just not working. It was also important for the mobile to be equally as engaging as we knew a lot of our clients would navigate the site on the phone.

For round two, we had decided to work backwards from mobile then to web, and I also decided on a stronger set of colours that would reflect on the idea of warmth, comfort and safety. They also had to work well with the photo and film work. By working backwards I was able to see what parts were necessary to keep.

Instagram was one of the main ways clients would get in touch with Âme. It was also a great place to share work and receive instant feedback. I used elements from the website such as colour, fonts and layout to create a cohesive identity.
